Holiday Card Messages for Dental Offices

A dental office's holiday card should thank patients for choosing your practice, wish them a happy and healthy season, and close warmly from the whole team, in two or three sentences. Leave out appointment reminders, treatment details and offers so the card reads as a thank-you.

Patients know your hygienists and front desk as well as your dentists, so a card from "all of us at [Practice Name]" fits most practices. Below are messages you can use as written.

For referring dentists and specialists

• Thank you for every referral this year and for the care you give our shared patients. Happy holidays.
• Good colleagues make better care possible. Thank you, and best wishes for 2027.

Christmas or holiday wording?

A patient list usually spans many faiths. If you don't know that everyone on your list celebrates Christmas, "happy holidays" or "season's greetings" is the safe choice. Keep patient details off the card

Keep the card to a greeting. Don't mention treatments, procedures, balances or anything about a patient's care, on the card or on the envelope. The envelope needs only the patient's name and mailing address.

What to leave out

• Appointment and cleaning reminders.
• Whitening and other offers.
• Anything about a patient's treatment or balance.
• Requests for reviews.

A line about your charity

Each year, we donate at least 10% of net proceeds from greeting card sales to charity. When you customize your card, you pick any IRS-recognized 501(c)(3). Practices often pick a local charity, like a children's health program, and name it in the card: This year, our holiday cards support [Charity Name].

Save time on the mailing

If you're sending to 100 or more patients, we can print, address and mail your holiday cards for you. Every envelope is addressed with a real ballpoint pen and mailed by the date you choose. We collect names and mailing addresses only, never market to your list, and delete it 90 days after mailing. It costs $2.25 to $4.75 per recipient before postage, with larger mailings at the low end. Postage is USPS First-Class at cost.

When to send
