Return Policy
Because our products are custom-made, we do not accept returns or cancellations once an order has been sent to production. We understand how important your order is and work hard to ensure you’re delighted with the final result.
Please review your online proof and order confirmation carefully before approval. If you spot an issue, contact us before approving the proof.
If We Make a Mistake
If an error is made by Cards for Causes, we will reprint and reship your order at no cost.
Customer Errors
Reprints required due to customer-provided errors can be produced quickly at the customer’s expense. Common customer errors include, but are not limited to:
- Spelling or grammar errors
- Typography or font selection issues provided by the customer
- Improper placement or formatting of text
- Uploading low-resolution or poor-quality images
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your order any time before it is sent to production for a full refund. After an order enters production, it cannot be canceled due to the custom nature of our products.
Production Times
Once you approve your design, we move your order to production.
- Standard production: typically 2–5 business days most of the year
- Holiday season (December): typically 5–10 business days
- Note: Shipping time is in addition to production time.
Production timelines are estimates. While most orders ship within the timeframes above, delays are possible and production times are not guaranteed.
Shipping Policy
- Standard service: UPS Ground (generally 3–5 business days in transit)
- Expedited options: UPS 3 Day Select and 2nd Day Air at checkout; contact us for Overnight quotes
- Where we ship: All 50 U.S. states and Canada; international shipping available—contact customer service for details or a quote
- Important: Expedited shipping speeds apply after production is complete
Delivery timelines are estimates provided by carriers. Once a package is picked up by UPS or another carrier, transit is outside our control and delivery dates are not guaranteed.
Donation Policy
The philanthropic side of Cards for Causes has been part of the business since 2006, and it’s still one of our favorite things we do.
We maintain a curated list of eligible charities that customers can select at checkout.
Eligible Charities
- Eligible organizations are based in the United States and recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3) tax‑exempt charities.
- If your preferred charity isn’t listed and meets these criteria, please contact us. For larger or recurring campaigns, we may be able to review and add it to our program.
How Much We Donate
- Each year, we donate an amount equal to at least 10% of the net proceeds from greeting card sales to our charity partners. Donations are allocated to charities based on the share of total card revenue designated to each charity by customers at checkout.
- For this program, ‘net proceeds’ means greeting card revenue minus direct costs such as card production, personalization, payment processing, shipping/fulfillment, and direct marketing expenses attributable to greeting card sales.
- Donations are made by Cards for Causes; customer names and contact information are not provided to charities.
- Because the donation is made by our company, your card purchase is not tax‑deductible as a charitable contribution. (You may be able to treat it as a business expense such as marketing or office supplies. Please consult your accountant or tax advisor.)
Donation Timing
We tally donations and remit them on a periodic basis, typically once per year in Q1 for the prior calendar year (timing subject to change). If you have questions about our charity partners or how our donation process works, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
