Holiday Card Messages for Manufacturers

A manufacturer's holiday card should thank customers for their business and partnership this year, wish their team a safe and happy season, and close warmly, in two or three sentences. Leave out pricing, lead times and product news so the card reads as a thank-you.

A B2B card usually goes to a company address and gets passed around, so write to the whole team, not one buyer. Below are messages you can use as written, grouped by who's getting the card.

Lighter lines

  • Wishing you a holiday season that runs as smoothly as a well-tuned line.
  • Here's to a new year with zero downtime and plenty of cheer.

Christmas or holiday wording?

If you sell outside the U.S., "season's greetings" travels well. If you don't know that everyone on your list celebrates Christmas, "happy holidays" or "season's greetings" is the safe choice. If your community sends Christmas cards, "Merry Christmas" is fine. Our guide on what to write in a business holiday card has more options for both.

What to leave out

  • Price increases, lead times and capacity notes.
  • New product announcements.
  • Year-end order pushes.
  • Requests for reviews or referrals.

Designs for your industry

Distribution and freight companies often choose from logistics Christmas cards as well.

Consider a Thanksgiving card

Some firms send Thanksgiving cards for manufacturers instead, so the card arrives before the December rush. A Thanksgiving message can lean on gratitude: This Thanksgiving, we're thankful for customers like you. Wishing your whole team a safe and happy holiday.

A line about your charity

Each year, we donate at least 10% of net proceeds from greeting card sales to charity. When you customize your card, you pick any IRS-recognized 501(c)(3). Manufacturers often pick a charity in the community around their plant and name it in the card: This year, our holiday cards support [Charity Name].

Save time on the mailing

If you're sending to 100 or more customers, we can print, address and mail your holiday cards for you. Every envelope is addressed with a real ballpoint pen and mailed by the date you choose. It costs $2.25 to $4.75 per recipient before postage, with larger mailings at the low end. Postage is USPS First-Class at cost.

When to send

Aim for your cards to arrive in the first two weeks of December. Many businesses run with a light staff between Christmas and New Year's Day, so a late card can sit unopened until January. Our guide on when to send business holiday cards has the mail-by dates.
