As we’ve grown, we’ve taken a hard look at how to make that mission last for the long haul. The result is a change that makes a big impact on our ability to keep giving.
A Giving Model Built to Last
In our early years, Cards for Causes donated a fixed percentage of every order’s total price directly to charity. While generous, that model became increasingly difficult to sustain as costs rose after COVID — from printing and shipping to the discounts we extend to loyal customers. Adjusting our approach ensures we can continue giving back responsibly for the long term.
To ensure we can continue donating for decades to come, we’ve refined our approach. We now donate a portion of proceeds — specifically 10% of profits — to the charity you choose with each order.
That means we can keep supporting the causes our customers care about while also investing in better experiences, faster fulfillment, and new features (like an improved card customization experience) that make every purchase even more meaningful.
The Same Mission, Made More Sustainable
What hasn’t changed is our commitment to giving. Every card you send through Cards for Causes still supports a nonprofit of your choice. Every order still helps fund the work of hundreds of incredible organizations.
What has changed is that our model now ensures those donations can continue year after year — even as we modernize our systems and grow.
